Took my 16 year old on this tour. Didn’t expect to have so much fun. John, our guide, did a great job of instructing and guiding. Felt like we were in a eco-friendly biker gang. Lots of looks from the people on the streets. Would do this again in a heartbeat. This is a great family activity. Can’t recommend high enough. Skip the Segways. This is a lot more fun and doesn’t make you feet ache. Easier to drive as well.
This was a great way to see a lot of the city. We did it on our first day to give us a feel for the different areas and where we wanted to spend more time later.
This tour or Austin was super fun! The length was perfect and our leader was amazing and showed us super cool locations and sights! Amazing ride
I'm local, so I'll be back. I took my (70something) mom on a 9 a.m. vaguely-themed YBG tour (they offer some that are focused on specific aspects of Austin -- this one was more the general one) because it was her birthday and we had guests coming in to town and she still hasn't been downtown much. I expected the usual high points, just on a bike, and that would have been cool. What I got was a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide (Patrick) who took us on a tour that was an awesome combination of the usual high points and some fascinating side trips. (Dude knows a lot about all kinds of minutae, including chicken and tattoos and local plants and Texas history -- it totally didn't surprise me that he was a teacher in a past life!) We went places that I didn't know existed and had a blast. So, two thumbs up. And I would think this tour would be fine for almost anyone -- I drove because my mom gets nervous, but we were on easily operated, well maintained bikes and took safe, medium-traffic routes, and she totally could've handled it as well. Our fellow tour takers varied from college students on Spring break to, well, my mom. So anyone would enjoy it. And it's a pretty good deal for 2ish hours of really good guidance. This tour was so much fun. It was so entertaining to ride around Austin on the electric bikes. We stopped at some cool murals to take group photos that turned out really cool. Patrick was the head of our biker gang and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide! I’d highly recommend this tour!!
Such a fun outing! The bikes are easy to operate and there is great leadership from their staff too.
Saw these guys cruising one day around town and knew we had to give it a try. Been to Austin many times but have never done the "tourist" thing. What a fun way to explore, be silly yet super cool! I have never ridden any type of motor or electric bike so I had a bit of a learning curve, but I definitely got the hang of it fairly quickly. We had a nice lap around the city and saw some great views. The content was a bit light and could have added a couple more sites (Congress, UT campus, etc.), but that's my only constructive feedback. Our guide Joe was awesome, super patient and careful looking out for us riders. Definitely give it a try if you're looking for a new way to see the city! More
We had a great, safe ride that was fun and full of laughs. Tyler built team spirit right away. We had a quick practice, and off to the city! The ride was smooth and easy and it was great to meet new people. Truck stop was great. Good food, quick so you can jump back on to the reason for the ride. I would recommend this trip to everyone. I have lived in Autin for 8 years and didn't know about it. I will take evrey visitor on this trip from now on.
It was a unique way to experience Austin and our guide was wonderful!! We had a great time and felt super cool doing it. ;)
